Overview
The Raising Golfers Golf Academy is based out of Rancho Carlsbad Golf Club in Carlsbad, California. We have one of the best driving ranges in North County San Diego with both grass and mats. Rancho Carlsbad has a wonderful 18-hole par 3 golf course which is perfect to learn and practice on for all levels. Raising Golfers Golf Academy Founder Travis Howser, PGA started this Academy with six students three years ago, and it has now blossomed into a full-service Academy approaching 200 students for the community and surrounding area.
We are a team of coaches working together to improve at our craft and improve the lives of our students. All of us share a deep love for the game of golf and want to pass that on to our students. This Summer Golf Camp Coach position would be working directly under the Camp Manager at Raising Golfers Golf Academy.
We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic and looking for a fun, outdoor and active role supporting our Academy summer golf camps. We anticipate nearly 300 kids participating in camps this summer! This is a great opportunity for an aspiring golf instructor to prosper within an already established Academy golf camp structure and to build some coaching skills and credentials for the future.
Experience Required
The ideal candidate for this position is a person who has some experience playing golf, having played high school and/or college golf, or someone who plays golf currently and has ambitions to coach golf as a career. Prefer candidates who have experience working with children and specifically in a group setting. You will have a positive mindset, a lot of energy and enthusiasm and great communication skills to connect well with the students and families of the Raising Golfers Golf Academy.
Essential Responsibilities
- Coaching and leading activities for our summer golf camps on a weekly basis (9 weeks total, mid-June through mid-August).
- Other time will be spent helping with site setup, tear down, and learning how the camp operations of the Academy run so you assist the Camp Manager fully.
- Additional opportunities may be available within the Academy throughout the year if you are interested in year-round and/or long-term golf coaching roles.
All Candidates are required to:
- Take a Background Check
- Conduct a Safety Training
- Complete CA Mandated Reporter Training
- Provide 3-5 Professional References from previous management
All Candidates Must be:
- Able to carry up to 50lbs
- Able to work in all weather conditions
The candidate who fills the role will be a W-2 employee paid on an hourly basis.

All of us share a deep love for the game of golf and want to pass that on to our students. This Assistant Coach position would be working directly under the Academy Director at Raising Golfers Golf Academy.
We are looking for a candidate who is willing to learn the Operation 36 development model, curriculum and become an expert in delivering this program to both Juniors and Adults. This is a great opportunity for an aspiring golf instructor to prosper within an already established Academy structure.
The initial position is part-time. But an enterprising and ambitious up-and-comer could turn this position into a lucrative, full-time gig in the future. The full-time position may be at Rancho Carlsbad or at other locations as the Academy continues to expand, and depending on what opportunities are available.

You will have a positive mindset, a lot of energy and enthusiasm and great communication skills to connect well with the families of the Raising Golfers Golf Academy. You should be very open-minded as well as creative with new ideas and eagerness to learn. Experience with marketing and managing player development programs is preferred.
Essential Responsibilities
• Coaching Academy junior and Adult programs will take up 90% of your time. Academy classes and 9-hole events are on a set weekly schedule and run year-round.
• Other time will be spent helping with site setup, tear down, and learning how the operations of the Academy runs so you can train your Assistant someday.
• Additional opportunities available throughout the year could include coaching PGA Junior League and/or Academy Camps during the summer and winter holidays.
